We the below, ask the council to reconsider its decision not to renew Jenners Catering Ltd’s lease and instead issue a new lease under the 1954 Act provisions.

There is no need to spend hundreds of thousands pounds on a new development on the site.

The Jenner family have been serving the residents of RBWM for over 60 years and are a part of the Riverside Gardens history.”)

I've worked at jenners Cafe for over 10 years, and it's my second home. The Cafe isn't just a workplace for me—it's a community hub in our town. The warm, welcoming atmosphere has always been a refuge for locals and visitors alike, offering more than just food and drinks but a place where stories are shared, friendships are formed, and memories are created. Every corner of Jenners Cafe holds a special moment of laughter, comfort, and connection.

However, this cherished establishment is under threat. The local council is considering not renewing our lease, which would force Jenners  Cafe to close its doors forever. Closing the cafe would not only affect my life and livelihood but the lives of many who consider this place their sanctuary—a haven where everyone feels like family.

The council's decision seems to overlook the Cafe's value and contribution to the community over the years. We are more than just a business on a street; we are a symbol of local unity and resilience. Losing us would mean losing a vital part of our town's fabric.

I urge the council to reconsider its stance and work with us to keep jenners Cafe running. We propose a dialogue to find a fair solution that acknowledges both the council's concerns and the community's needs. Let's explore options such as reducing lease costs or setting up a community partnership to ensure sustainability.
