Save Jaycee Park

The Issue

The city “leaders” of Cape Coral want to turn a beautiful, tranquil, shaded family park into a “hangout” with boat access, a bar, an amphitheater and volleyball courts - in the middle of a strictly residential area on a dead end street. Beach Parkway is one lane in and one lane out to/from the park that is lined with homes and condominiums, some being 55+. The street and park are often busy with people coming to enjoy the old-world feel that the park holds, a fabulous escape from the bustle of an over crowded city.

This is no place for a bar, not a place for food trucks, not a place for an amphitheater- why the “need” to put business in the middle of residential areas. Beach Parkway cannot handle the traffic, nor would I suspect the locals would want to hear the bar crowds into the late hours at night.

We must speak up and tell those that we elected into city office that we don’t want this!
