Latta and Flynn Road Rezoning Proposal – 160 rental units to be developed: The rezoning of Latta & Flynn Road would bring the development of 60 acres into 160 rental units with a clubhouse. Consider traffic, road noise, school enrollment (Hilton), wildlife wetlands (on the proposed site), single-family home values, and other factors that will forever impact our community. Attend the Town Board Meeting to share your thoughts and ask the board to vote “No” on the proposed rezoning.
Town Board Meeting: Rescheduled: TBD
3500 Latta Road – 240 rental units to be developed: The proposed development at 3500 Latta Road will clear-cut approximately 60 acres of wooded land to develop 240 rental units. Drainage, sewage, a massive influx of traffic, road noise, Hilton School District enrollment surge, destruction of wildlife, clear-cutting of trees, and a threat to the protected Sedge Wren. The Sedge Wren was, according to the DEC (2023) “Previously listed as a species of special concern; the sedge wren is now considered a threatened species in New York State” and has been observed within the proximity of the land, according to Cornell University (2023).
