📣 Petition to Stop the Closure of Grande Crêperie at the Ferry Building

 

To the Management of the Ferry Building, San Francisco:

 

We, the undersigned employees, customers, and supporters, respectfully urge you to reverse the decision to not follow through with the lease renewal of Grande Crêperie—a cherished French café, crêperie, and one of San Francisco’s finest bakeries.

 

Grande Crêperie is more than a food stall—it is a vibrant part of the Ferry Building’s soul. Offering authentic French crêpes, pastries, and coffee, it serves as a gathering place for locals, tourists, and especially the French community in San Francisco, who rely on it for a comforting and authentic taste of home.

 

This business opened its doors at a time when the Ferry Building was struggling to recover from the impact of COVID-19—bringing life, warmth, and foot traffic back when many spaces sat empty. Now, just as visitor traffic is rising again, it is unfair and short-sighted to push out a business that stood by the community during its hardest moments.

 

Closing Grande Crêperie would mean:

 • Displacing a dedicated team who built this space with passion and perseverance

 • Erasing a cultural anchor and unique culinary experience from the building

   • Undermining the Ferry Building’s reputation as a supporter of small, locally owned businesses and as a community-driven marketplace

 

We urge management to support local resilience, honor cultural diversity, and give Grande Crêperie the opportunity to continue thriving in the space it helped rebuild.
