After the heartbreaking loss of G-AVMO at East Fortune, I believe the vacant spot needs to be filled, and now the opportunity has presented itself. 

The world's first BAE 146 aircraft, G-LUXE, has recently been retired and should be preserved in a museum. The best-suited museum for this precious aircraft should be the National Museum of Flight located in East Fortune, a former RAF Airfield and home to other aircraft, such as the first Concorde delivered to British Airways, G-BOAA, and one of the last De Havilland Comets. The vacancy left by the demise of G-AVMO must be filled. G-LUXE has been hardened for scientific research, so it serves as a perfect candidate to survive the harsh Scottish weather. G-LUXE is perfect for East Fortune since it means a rare prototype remains on British soil, and with a good refurbishment back to its original livery and interior, it would be a brilliant aircraft to explore inside, like how the A300B was preserved in Aeroscopia and has its internals on display. If this could happen to G-LUXE, it solidifies the fact that Scotland will never let such a historical aircraft fall into the metal grinder again. We must act immediately to preserve the remnants of British aircraft history.
