Dear Friends of Font Hill Wetlands Park,

Thank you very much for all of your calls and emails.

We have a *time sensitive* update to share with you.

We have been advised that the Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks is holding an online public information session on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. via WebEx. The session will cover the third stream restoration for Font Hill Wetlands Park.  This project involves repairing two boulder walls that were built in 2019 that have collapsed, and adding several similar walls.  The available science and the evidence from all over Howard County does not show that rock walls prevent erosion.

This meeting will be our last chance to request for the county to stop or delay the project before the construction in the forest and stream begins.

We hope you will please attend and speak up to help us Save Font Hill Wetlands Park.  Ask them to plant more trees and keep their heavy equipment out of the woods and the stream.
