Thank you for supporting our petition calling on East Herts Council to maintain its funding of Fanshawe Pool and Gym. We are pleased to say that at a meeting in October last year the Council resolved that it would defer any final decisions on future funding for Fanshawe, and it committed itself to exploring with Ware Swimming Club and other stakeholders possible changes to the current arrangements. There has been one meeting subsequently with the Council and we're in the process of arranging another for a more detailed discussion on the way forward. The position is looking more positive than it did early last year, but nothing has been settled yet. We’ll continue to work on ensuring that Fanshawe Pool and Gym remain open, and we’ll do our best to keep you informed of developments.
