Mr. Lamont Cole, Mr.Adam Smith, and EBR School board:

The Dufrocq School needs STILL new leadership. New bodies in a few key positions won't help kids when the worst remain. The calls for change were manipulated to reposition the same people causing problems as solutions. The children deserve better. 

The Dufrocq School dropped to a D because they intentionally drove down outcomes with no accountability. The people "advising" the school for years are still in power, many promoted.  

The same core people who weren't good enough for Mr. Cole's child aren't good enough for the community. Leadership isn't a birthright. 

The new principal and assistant principal have no real power nor influence.   The Dufrocq School has been serving as an employment agency focused on adults for too long!  There has been no accountability on the staff that has caused a devastating decline in LEAP and learning outcomes. 10 and 12 point drops in ELA and Math is unprecedented yet they stay on....

School board are told the people causing the problems are "experts" and part of the solution? Some have been rewarded with special jobs for friends or trips to conferences or new positions. Children's learning outcomes were sacrificed for what? Highly skilled staff and students have been aggressively bullied and retaliated upon as the magnet office pushes for control after enrollment declines in TWO magnet programs.

Massive enrollment declines and no significant changes. Victim narratives aimed at "rough" children or "crazy parents" serve no one but adults.

Save Dufrocq and restore the promise to the community for a strong neighborhood school and remove the Robvais/Washington regime and their supporters from further destruction.

The Dufrocq School is a mess and in danger of losing more dedicated staff and families. IEPs/504 plans aren’t followed, staff/student morale is low, no parent/teacher organization, poor communication, staff/student safety issues, overworked/bullied staff, and in some classes little to no instruction. There is no librarian. Replace Dufrocq leadership with experienced, unbiased, student-centered, community focused, and truly supported leadership today. Give the staff, students, and families the effective leadership and support our community deserves. New leadership for an equitable and united Dufrocq today! 

UPDATES: Now directed to Mr. Lamont Cole AND Mr. Adam Smith. Hoping to declare victory with actual meaningful leadership changes in this urgent time. Two new leaders were named, but with LEAP scores released, it's obvious the several leadership staff can't work under any principal and for the children must go!  Other notes there is staff in the library and a PTO  started, though no any way clear to reach this new organization on Dufrocq's website.   

Corruption alert: PTO is run by the magnet coordinator's cousin, the assistant principal is the former principal's daughter, the student of the year is the assistant prinicipal's son (he was at a different school last year as his mom hurt kids), the new "instructional specialists," are former co-workers of the assistant principal and only work 4 days a week. The chain of command still favors team toxicity over kids.
