The District 3 5A JV Track and Field Championships has been a historic exhibition track meet for years. Often with the largest single-day competitor attendance in Idaho for high school Track and Field. Athletes across the Treasure Valley compete annually at the Rocky Mountain High School facilities as an exhilarating end to their seasons.

This year the District has changed the qualifications for the meet, only allowing 3 guaranteed athletes per school per event. Many athletes who have trained for months and years will miss out on the excellent Track meet. Instead, ending their season a week earlier at what is for most teams a very unexciting meet.

The limited field sets a dangerous precedent of meet officials and district administration being valued over the seasons and experiences of our High School Athletes.
