Future students are set to miss out on the opportunity to pursue dance at higher education in the Bournemouth area, along with many other creatives who would ordinarily work collaboratively with the dance degree students. 

Current dance lecturers at Arts University Bournemouth are set to lose the course they have passionately created, devoting thousands of hours of their hard work into a course they hoped would have longevity for creatives in the surrounding areas.

In a recent financial audit undertaken at AUB, the dance degree was not deemed financially viable and the decision was taken to discontinue the course. This would be to the detriment of the entire creative community within the area and is of course symptomatic of the wider diminishing of the dance and arts sectors up and down the country. 

We need it to be known the value of this course is far beyond monetary and is a lifeline to many people. We urge you to support our fight to save this course before it’s too late.
