The ECB’s High Performance Review recommends:

� reducing the number of County Championship fixtures from 14 to 10

� reducing the number of T20 Blast fixtures from 14 to 10

This will result is a significant loss of revenue for the 18 First Class Counties and could render a number of them financially unviable.

The First Class counties are the lifeblood of English cricket. The loss of any of them would be an irreversible tragedy and a massive failure of governance by the ECB.

Whilst cricket fans appreciate the need to take care of players and rationalise the currently overcrowded schedule of fixtures, any changes  must:

PRIORITISE THE SURVIVAL AND GROWTH OF ALL 18 FIRST CLASS COUNTIES.
