Thank you to the Cottonfields Community Association homeowner who took this picture at approximately 7:00 a.m. Thursday, July 13, 2023. This is nothing new but continues to happen. Thank you to the vigilant citizens who are not afraid to take action against these crimes so we are able to protect our community. Non-emergency service was called. The law broken is called trespassing. 

The question remains the same. Do Cottonfields Community Homeowners prefer to see homeless encampments built, deteriorated blight land surrounding their community or figure out a way to work with the current golf course owner Laveen 140? When the golf course was open there was never a tent seen on the golf course, ever. 

The golf course is not a camping site. You can’t camp for free at any state parks. Go try it and see what happens to you. You’ll be asked to leave. If you don’t leave then law enforcement will handle the situation. Cottonfields Community needs leadership to stand up and put an end to this vicious cycle of decline continuing at our community!

What would put an end to this? A golf course opened 7 days a week like before. The blight land would turn into a beautifully designed golf course. The golf course staff would be monitoring the golf course property 7 days a week. As it stands, you choose to do nothing expect to see more of these pictures and perhaps more transients walking through our community. Something must be done now!
