In emergencies, every second counts, and having these wards within reach can be the difference between life and death. Closure of these wards will sever a vital lifeline for our community's health and well-being. Closure would also mean longer travel times to access essential medical care, placing undue strain on patients, families, and healthcare providers.

The closure of these wards would disproportionately affect expectant mothers, infants, and the elderly in our community. It would create an unacceptable burden on families who rely on local healthcare services for routine procedures, consultations, and emergencies. Moreover, the closure would detrimentally impact our town's economy, driving away residents and discouraging potential newcomers.

We call upon decision-makers, healthcare authorities, and elected representatives to listen to the voices of Cootamundra's residents and take immediate action to prevent the closure of the Pathology, Surgical and Birthing Wards.
