Hello, everyone! It's been quite a while since we have updated our petition - - thank you for your patience, we were waiting until we had pertinent news to share. Thank you, once more, for all of your support!
We have very important news regarding the Cineplex Cinemas Queensway proposal and ways to move forward with your continued support.
There is an upcoming Etobicoke Community Council meeting where members of the community ( that means YOU! ) can make statements about the impact of this development and the loss of the Cineplex to the community. This is an in-person meeting, though you can also submit written statements, which are called deputations.
It is important that we communicate to the land developer our wishes to keep our Cineplex in our Etobicoke community. Please try to attend and make a strong statement about this!
If you are able to attend the EYCC meeting on June 4th, you will be given
5 minutes to speak & voice your concerns to the city, the land owner & representatives of this proposed development. Please come prepared to voice your concerns and voice them with purpose.
If you cannot speak at the meeting, you can also submit a written deputation to the EYCC. Written comments may be submitted by writing to: etcc@toronto.ca.
Unfortunately, both my wife & I will be unavailable on this day due to work schedules conflicting, so it is important that we have other members of the community representing our collective wishes to keep Cineplex Cinemas Queensway standing.
We hope that many of you can attend or send your written deputations to the above email. Both my wife & I will be submitting written deputations where we will outline how very important we feel our Cineplex Cinemas Queensway is for our community, overall!
