Update:

Hello, everyone!    We wanted to update you and remind you that we have one more chance to make an impact concerning
Cineplex Cinemas Queensway & the building proposal.

Last month, we submitted our deputations to
Etobicoke York Community Council.   Rob was able to give a spoken deputation and my deputation was read by a community member to the panel at EYCC.

At that time, the building proposal to tear down our beloved Cineplex and go forward with the building of the massive condo towers was unfortunately "approved."    We were terribly disappointed by this news, but we do know that we, as a community, have one more chance to try to make a further statement, collectively. 

So, hold on, there is one more step that we can all take to try to thwart these efforts!  There is one more stage in the approval process and the final stage is having the building proposal go before 
City Council.

In two days, on Wednesday, June 25th, the building proposal to tear down Cineplex Queensway will be heard by City Council.

Please take FIVE MINUTES out of your day and please send an email to City Council outlining your absolute disapproval of 
1025 The Queensway - Zoning By-law Amendment Application going in to affect!

Simply email expressing your opposition to this building proposal - every email from each on of you counts!

Please write your email AS SOON AS POSSIBLE -- I would definitely get your email in today or tomorrow, as this building proposal goes before City Council this Wednesday, June 25th.   The final decision will be made that day & our emails can make an impact in their decision making.
