We are now at 10,773 signatures - - that is amazing!
Thank you, once again, everyone for sharing the petition, we truly appreciate it.
Since our last update, we have been interviewed by CBC News & had an on-air broadcast & an article written in CBC News online. We saw a huge spike in the community signing and sharing of our petition after CBC aired our interview. Here is the on-air broadcast:

Here is the article in CBC News online: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/etobicoke-cineplex-possible-condo-development-1.7357540
We also just had an interview with Toronto Metropolitan University's journalism team, "On the Record" about a week ago. Article upcoming... we will post it when it is out.
As well as, an interview with the "Eye Opener", just this past Monday. This will also be an upcoming article that we will post as an update.
We have contacted MPP Christine Hogarth about our petition and our very strong concerns regarding the building proposal, but we need more voices to join us! Please, take five minutes out of your day and email Ms. Hogarth. Every email counts. The more people from our community that band together and email the "decision makers", the better.

Next steps:
Once we have the date for the Etobicoke York Council's meeting where we can speak with a public deputation, we can make an even further impact against this building proposal.
Here is the info given to us by Councillor Morley's office on the upcoming public deputation that we can all be a part of, if we choose:
Information on Public Deputation:
"Assuming the development review proceeds through the standard process, the next opportunity to provide public input will be at the Etobicoke York Community Council meeting. Once the City Planning Department submits its report, we will inform you of the meeting date. You can participate in person or virtually. Each participant will have five minutes to speak, and written deputations can also be submitted. Feedback on the application can also be submitted directly to the planner on this file, throughout the review process. If other opportunities to participate in the process arise, or there are other important updates, we will do our best to keep you informed; you may also wish to subscribe to our newsletter as we would share relevant updates there, as well."
