The Issue

Please help us Save Chyngton Field from Development.

It is the gateway to the South Downs National Park and world famous iconic Seven Sisters.

The field is a home to protected species.

It is designated by Natural England as a Habitat Network Expansion Zone, an ecological resilience zone.

It contributes to the wide sweeping vista of the South Downs Landscape.  It borders the South Downs National Park, Heritage Coast, National Trust farmland and is in the impact zone of a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

Despite this, the developer who owns it wants to build a major housing development on it.  Lewes District Council are currently supporting this idea.

Help us to protect this gateway to the South Downs National Park, for wildlife and for future generations to enjoy.
