I am a 24 yr old female with a 3 year old child and my boyfriend (30). We moved from a home that had lead poisoning to another home. Saved up paycheck after paycheck for a month to get a place to keep my daughter safe from lead at this previous home. I had to live without her (send her to her dad's) to keep her safe. Saved up $1700. We finally thought we were saved and we could live a normal life at this new property. We thought we were finally safe from lead. 

We moved into this home the beginning of December of 2023. We had multiple issues with this property from Golden Key Realty. We had a padlock on our front door for the four months we lived there. We couldn't even use our basement due to steps missing at the bottom and it being completely unfinished. 

We thought everything was going great until we found out my daughter's lead went back up. We couldn't understand why. 

We found out in the end of January, beginning of February from our own lead test kit from Lowe's that there was definitely high lead in this home. We had informed the landlord and the owner of the property in which they were going to give us a Health and Safety Violations noticed on February 5th. They said they would work with us on it, they didn't. 

They tried to push us out before March 5th because they wanted to rent the property, I told her it was illegal to rent properties out without doing lead removal. She told me "stop complaining and get out so we can do something about it." We got evicted and they didn't do any lead removal.

They have now moved someone in who has a baby on the way, they told the health department that we brought lead from our previous home, yet again, there's no way that could happen. 

The lead tested positive on the outside of the house, the basement (we couldn't use), the front door they never replaced since we moved in there. It came from every vent that was rusty and gross. There was no way we could have put lead in that house, but that's what theu said so they don't have to do lead removal and they can illegally move people in to greedily take their money. 

These people need investigated, they need to be forced to put that place off the market. I have heard of several other properties they have neglected and kept unkempt. People who can see through their living room walls and people that have properties sold out from underneath them without a single notice.

I have heard that directly from the Coshocton Law Offices that she comes through the courts often for this stuff and nothing is being done about it. I will NOT allow someone to put kids in danger. I wouldn't wish this struggle of a child who's poisoned by lead on anyone. 

If I'm able to petition this then hopefully we can save people from wasting time money, and our lives on these people who want nothing more than to illegally do things for the greed of money. 

Please help me petition this to either get this business under investigation or get this lead removal done to keep people safe from this company. To help people keep their children safe. These people who are struggling to find homes with their hard earned money not to be wasted. To keep this company from lying and scamming people for their own personal greed.

When we tried to call the health department, they told me "they don't do home visits" yet my child is the highest lead case in Ohio and they had no problem doing it when she was involved in the previous lead poisoned home. I have medical documentation to prove her lead went up in that home we rented from Golden Key Realty specifically as she was staying with her dad prior before moving back in with us full time.  The health department said the case was dismissed due to the fact that it was brought in from "another source" which how can we put lead on the outside of the house? They're using and doing everything they can to to keep scamming and making money from people.
