'Dhatri', the ninth cheetah was found dead at Kuno National Park on 2nd of August 2023. Innocent lives of Cheetahs are at stake just for whims & fancies of a few handful. Apart from unjustifiable waste of money incurred in this project, the priceless lives of these majestic cats is at stake which is totally unacceptable, as we have no right to play with their lives. 

Since eleven months after they were translocated, 6 out of 20 adult cheetahs brought from Namibia and South Africa & 3 out of 4 cubs born in India have died so far within a span of just five months from March to August 2023. Still worse, many others have serious health issues about which experts have been raising questions.

Keeping aside the prestige of the project, all the concerned should take immediate steps to send back the remaining cheetahs and cubs to Namibia and South Africa, where they belong and save their lives.
