Cerrig Camu was a specialist residential home in Gwynedd for people with complex disabilities and support needs.

My son lived there for several years, and like many families I was deeply saddened when the private provider decided to close the home in December 2025.

Its closure was the loss of an important specialist resource for North Wales.

Cerrig Camu occupies a unique setting with enormous potential. We believe that, with the right investment, leadership and long-term commitment, it could become an outstanding specialist residential community where people with complex needs can enjoy stability, meaningful activities, nature, friendship and a genuine sense of belonging.

This petition is no longer about preventing the closure. It is about demonstrating that there is continuing public support for preserving the site’s purpose and encouraging its future as a high-quality specialist residential community.
