Save Cerrig Camu

Save Cerrig Camu
The Issue
Cerrig Camu is a residential care home in Dolgellau for vulnerable adults with complex needs - including my son, who is blind, non-verbal, and requires specialist care. This home is owned by a private company , Achieve Together.
After six years of stability and support from staff who know him well, we’ve now been told the home will close in just three months, just before Christmas.
Fifteen residents, many who have lived here for decades, face being uprooted from their home and community. Finding suitable alternative placements in that time is almost impossible and will cause significant distress. Skillled and dedicated staff will also lose their jobs.
There are very few residential homes in Gwynedd that can meet the needs of complex disabilities and Cerrig Csmu has so much potential .
Once a place like this is sold off it is gone forever .
we are calling on Gwynedd council and the Welsh government to intervene, halt the closure and work with community organisations and not for profit providers to keep this site open for complex needs adults in a sustainable model of care for the future
please sign this petition in support of the residents, the staff and the resource for future care in Gwynedd
Thankyou
