Gwynedd Council is the governing body for the principal area of Gwynedd, located in north-west Wales. Comprising 75 elected councillors who represent 71 electoral wards, their principal role is to establish policies for the administration and delivery of public services in the region. Run by the largest political party, Plaid Cymru, the council is responsible for various civic matters, working towards the enhancement and development of local communities.
