Hello, everyone!
It has been a while since we sent our last update, and we’ve just gotten some information about the park we’d like to share.
As of November 30, 2023 the Centennial Park Mini-Indy and Diamond Beach had been almost completely demolished. Despite a vote total around 25,000 the City of Toronto refused to listen to their constituents, until today that is!
In the typical “too little too late” fashion of the City of Toronto, they’ve now decided to host a survey and a virtual meeting to hear what the public thinks about the changes to the park.
The City’s survey is available from today to January 24th asking citizens to “share your opinion” on the baseball hub and skate trail. Please fill this out ASAP - it only takes 5-10 minutes!

If is completely anonymous, you do not need to enter any personal details.
You’ll notice the survey mentions “batting cages” in the middle of the “baseball hub.” To the best of our knowledge, this refers to self-pitch caged in straight away, not machines. A far cry from what used to be available to the public, especially since these seem to be strictly for the baseball players and not for public use.
The VIRTUAL PUBLIC MEETING is TONIGHT, January 10, from 6 PM to 8 PM during which the City will provide updates about the park renovations - specifically the baseball hub they demolished us for.
If like us you are still unhappy about the choices being made, we hope you will attend the meeting tonight and make your voice heard (and remember to fill out the survey).

DO NOT WORRY IF YOU LIVE OUTSIDE OF ETOBICOKE, YOU CAN STILL PARTICIPATE IN THE MEETING AND THE SURVEY.
Thank you all for the incredible final year! We felt your support every day of this battle and we hope to see you again in our next adventures.
