Carl Smith Sports complex has been a staple for the softball community in Northeast Oklahoma for generations. Sadly, over the past several years it has been neglected by the city of Tulsa. But, many loyal Softball teams and friends have worked hard to keep leagues full, even though that means playing on poorly managed fields,  dealing with terrible facility maintenance, lack of funding for repairs, and minimal support from the City of Tulsa

The wind storm on June 18th, 2023 damaged the dugout covers, fences, and other structures. Because of the storm damage, the City of Tulsa informed the softball community that they are NOT going to make repairs to CSSC. And it is closed indefinitely. If not permanently. 

The softball community wants and needs this park repaired and open. Neighboring cities continue to invest in their own softball complex’s and make it a destination for softball players across the country, but Tulsa does not see the value and opportunity in front of them. Carl Smith is left behind and loyal Tulsa teams are the ones left to suffer. 

Many teammates and friends are willing to help with cleanup efforts, painting, fundraising, and looking for the support of local businesses etc.
