Burntwood Platinum Amateur Boxing has supported 1000’s of youngsters, teenagers, and adults over the last 12 years.  The club, a community-based outfit, where all are welcome regardless of sex, ability, race, religion or sexual orientation enables a fully integrated community.  Platinum Boxing are now, once again, facing the real likelihood of having no community facilities to call their home. 

The club has achieved great things by way of producing a National and Midland champion.  Furthermore, boxers have progressed to a Professional standard carving very successful careers. The club provides a welcoming hub for the local youth and adults alike to get fit, make new friends, compete and more than that be part of a club to be proud of!  The club "gets kids off the streets" and has a great following for the work they do. 

2 years ago, the club lost their fixed training premises after a decision was made  to permit another organisation to take over the centre they train in.  Fortunately, the local church, who maintains the lease on the council property based at Redwood Park, supported Platinum and permitted the club to use the premises.  A decision is being made imminently on whether the lease should be terminated to accommodate another organisation and once again Burntwood Platinum Amateur Boxing is at risk of being evicted. Local support is now required ... please support our application to take over the lease and not permit the same thing happening again….
