Buchanan Church is under threat of closure. It has been a hub for the community in the villages of Balmaha, Buchanan Castle Estates, Buchanan Smithy, Milton of Buchanan, Drymen, Rowardennan since it first opened its doors in 1764.

Many of you have attended services here, got married, had their children Christened, or even said farewell to their loved ones. While of course it is a hub for the church itself, Buchanan Parish Church serves a hugely important and irreplaceable role to us all, regardless of our religious beliefs.

Sadly, the Church of Scotland has deemed this popular church not fit for purpose, nor meeting the needs of the congregation and should be closed.

Signing this petition is one of the most effective ways to express our opinion and urge the Church of Scotland to keep the church open and available for the vital function it serves our community.
