We need to Save Blackwood Miners Institute from potential closure at the end of December 2024. Caerphilly Council are proposing to withdraw its subsidy of £347.000 per year to run the BMI. This could see the venue close. If the BMI was to close this would have a massive impact and loss on the local communities and Town of Blackwood.  The BMI is used by many throughout the year by having performing arts, schools, panto, plays, Christmas concerts and much much more. The impact that a potential closure could cause would be devastating to local communities in and around Blackwood. We must save the BMI.
