The Issue

When I was in second grade, I remember sitting in shock as high schoolers passionately presented on the critical state our planet is in due to climate change. Their words echoed in my head, "Our planet is dying." That experience sparked my deep-seated commitment to safeguard the health and safety of our Earth.

At the heart of urgent environmental issues is the rapidly accelerated melting of the Arctic ice. This melting threat, due to carbon, is causing a massive impact on the natural habitats of Arctic wildlife, particularly polar bears. According to the WWF report (2018) the loss of sea ice habitat from climate change is the biggest threat to the survival of polar bears. It's time that we step up to protect these creatures and halt the dangerous climate changes that threaten their, and in extension, our existence.

In addition, climate change doesn't just affect polar bears and Arctic wildlife alone, it has profound impacts on every living creature on our planet. This is more than just a plea, it is a rallying cry for an urgent and collective action. We must champion and push for changes in individual behaviors, national policies and international agreements to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

What this petition is demanding:

BAN OF DRILLING IN THE ARCTIC. We need to stop harvesting the land that these bears need to survive. They are just as equal as we are.

Join me as I urge national and global leaders, environmental agencies, and individuals to prioritize the protection of our Arctic treasure and wildlife from the devastating effects of climate change. Sign the petition today and contribute to saving our dying planet, our beloved and only home.
