Save animals in Bor Zoo (Serbia)

Save animals in Bor Zoo (Serbia)
The Issue
Dear animal lovers!
I have come across some horrendous photos, as well as videos, of apparent animal mistreatment in a Zoo, in a small East Serbian town of Bor. The Zoo has been in operation since 2011. It was built under the authority of the previous town Major Mr. Spaskovski and despite many citizens' disapproval, the Zoo was built. At the time, many citizens believed that the town may not be able to sufficiently care for the animals, due to the shortage of public funding, unsuitable climate, and the escalating air pollution due to heavy industry in the area. Despite this, the project was implemented and the Zoo opened its doors to the visitors.
The Zoo is a popular family venue, with picturesque surroundings, children play areas and a cafe. But, it also shows the dark side. The recent photos and videos circulating on Social Media are showing a skinny deer and a crocodile living in a pool, with hardly any water. Temperatures in Bor are currently sky-high, reaching over 30C!!! How is this at all possible in this day and age??? The town in question has prosperous copper and gold mining industry, yet, the funding for the Zoo, and the essential care for its residents seems VERY limited, if not, zero!
Although I am a firm believer that zoos are the thing of the past, and that all animals should live in their natural environments, zoos sadly, still exist.
This is not the call to linch authorities, this is the call to do something for this Zoo to ensure that the animals that are in its care are treated with dignity, love and care. This petition is to call for all animal welfare organisations, veterinary inspections and other welfare authorities in Serbia and wider, to pay a visit to the zoo and make a professional judgement of the treatment and welfare of ALL the animals on premises.
Can you please sign this petition and share far and wide?
Thank you!

Dragi ljubitelji zivotinja!
Molim vas potpisite i podelite ovu peticiju.
Hvala!
