Starting October 01, 2021, the Georgian authorities, detaining and torturing Mikheil Saakashvili, are carrying out a political massacre against a citizen of another country (Ukraine).

The actions of the Georgian authorities contradict the universally recognized values of human rights, respect, freedom, and human dignity and should be punished by international sanctions. Such actions also contradict the aspirations of the Georgian people to become a member of the EU and NATO.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the European Parliament have already made a call to release Saakashvili and send him for treatment abroad.

As of March 09, 2023, Mikheil Saakashvili's health condition is critical, his weight is 65 kg, and he lost more than 55 kg, losing about 1 kg per 1-2 weeks, he almost cannot eat food, and cannot walk, as his body is poisoned by heavy metals found in his blood by 14 international doctors. The doctors also said that when his weight will be 63 kg he will die.
