Dear Supporters,

I have some positive news to share. Things are moving forward. I wrote to the Office of our Shipping Minister this morning to seek an appointment. I have been assured that I will be granted a meeting in May. Date to be confirmed. Spread the news so that more people join this fight for justice as I need to reach 50,000 signatures before the meeting.

All I want is a chance to be heard, a chance to convey solutions for the Government of India to enact. Solutions that will save every seafarer in distress - so that nobody suffers and meets an irreversible fate like my younger brother, Shivam Malik did.

At the meeting, I hope for a meaningful dialogue that will translate into concrete action. Your support brought me this far, your continued support will take me to the finish line.

Please share my petition with more people on WhatsApp, perhaps people who haven’t signed yet but who can. Because every voice matters right now. This is not a sailor issue or a shipping issue, this is a human rights issue. Every life is precious and worth saving.

When India announces an online complaint portal and guidelines for seafarers' safety, I will be the happiest person on earth. I’m doing this in the memory of someone I loved. With your help, I can truly honor him.

Thank you,
Anchal Malik
