Petition update4-story, 162-unit Supportive Housing Complex Does Not Belong in a Residential NeighborhoodLAST CHANCE NOTICE Attend Planning Commission Meeting on Wednesday
Francisco LozanoSan Jose, CA, United States
Apr 23, 2016
The San Jose Planning Commission will decide whether or not to grant Charities Housing a Conditional Use Permit to allow this project. We need to have a big crowd at the meeting. It would be great if everyone could speak about their concerns. Even if you don't speak, come out and cheer on your neighbors. This is an incredibly important decision for our neighborhoods. What: Planning Commission Public Hearing for Conditional Use Permit When: Wednesday April 27, 2016 at 6:30 PM Where: City Council Chambers; City Hall Address: 200 East Santa Clara Street, San Jose Ca. 95113 PARKING: Under City Hall Building – Enter underground parking from 6th Street between San Fernando and Santa Clara St.. Parking will be validated and free. We are also happy to report that a group of neighbors met with City Councilman Tam Nguyen and he expressed he shares our same concerns after learning more about the project. He cannot advocate for the Planning Commission to vote one way or another; however, he can publicly share his concerns. He promised to release a statement on Monday outlining his concerns about the proposed project. I am very proud of the work some of our neighbors are doing, but we need more help. We would like to distribute flyers informing all our neighbors about the meeting. Our neighbors Delbert Ng and Claudia Lopez are coordinating efforts to distribute flyers. Contact Delbert ngsdofornbrs@hotmail.com if you could help. Thank you for your support! Francisco
