Samsung: Bring the Built-In Bluetooth S Pen to the Galaxy Z Fold Ultra

Samsung created two of the greatest smartphone productivity concepts ever: the Galaxy Note with its built-in S Pen and the Galaxy Z Fold with its enormous folding display.

It's time to finally put them together.

We're asking Samsung to create a future Galaxy Z Fold Ultra with a built-in S Pen silo and a fully functional Bluetooth S Pen—including the remote camera shutter and Air Actions.

And we're willing to make a trade:

It doesn't have to be thinner.

Many Fold and former Note users would gladly accept a little additional thickness to get genuinely useful functionality in return.

What we're asking Samsung to build

A future Galaxy Z Fold Ultra with:

• An integrated S Pen silo

No special case. No separate pen to carry. The S Pen belongs inside the phone.

• A Bluetooth-enabled S Pen

Bring back the functionality that made the S Pen more than a stylus.

• Remote camera shutter

Prop up the Fold in Flex Mode, step into the photo and click the S Pen button. Phone, stand and remote—all in one device.

• Air Actions

Restore the remote-control capabilities longtime Note users loved.

• S Pen support on BOTH displays

Write, draw, annotate and create whether the Fold is open or closed.

• Ultra cameras, battery and performance

Don't make “Ultra” mean merely thinner. Let it mean maximum capability.

Give Fold and Fold Ultra different missions

Samsung doesn't have to make every Fold thicker.

Let the standard Galaxy Z Fold pursue extreme thinness and minimum weight.

Let the Galaxy Z Fold Ultra pursue maximum functionality.

There are former Galaxy Note users, Fold owners, artists, professionals, creators, photographers and technology enthusiasts who don't want Samsung's most capable foldable to sacrifice functionality simply to shave away another millimeter.

The Galaxy Note taught us something:

The best phone isn't necessarily the thinnest phone. It's the phone that has the tool you need exactly when you need it.

Samsung already created the Note.

Samsung already created the Fold.

Now combine the best of both.
