Salvation Army's Lack of Leadership and Accountability.

The Issue

There are many Americans that have fallen on hard times throughout the years and have had to rely upon the goodwill and charity of others, myself included. I ended up losing my job during the pandemic so moved to Seattle in June of 2021. I was able to get a bed at the Salvation Army but around November I began getting sick. In January of 2022 I went to one of those Mobile clinic doctors and found out I had H-Pylori. Since then I've had to do two different medication regimens, I'm still not completely healthy again. The Doctor says I tested negative for H-Pylori in June of this year yet I'm still sick and I believe it's because of the food they are serving us at the Salvation Army. Every complaint I've made is just meet with excuses. I've talked to Kevin and other staff over a dozen times but let them tell it the kitchens has been broken for months. Somehow the Salvation Army has allowed it's kitchen to be down for the better part of a year and No one has done anything to resolve this problem. Months on end means the kitchen isn't broken, they need a new kitchen. Cutting corners by feeding us inedible food is unacceptable. As human beings I believe the Salvation Army has forgotten that the clients are what matter. This petition is not only to remind them of their responsibilities to the people but to also call out their Unresponsive Leadership until they figure out how to keep the kitchen from breakdown or fire and replace them with someone who will.
