SafeTeensOnline Supports Kids Online Safety Act for Nevadans

The Issue

My name is Jaycen Pace and I'm writing you this letter as an 8th grade middle school  student at Jim Bridger Las Vegas, NV going to transfer into high school next year. As part of my schoolwork and other activities, I spend several hours online each week. As a result, I’m quite familiar with the online world, its opportunities, and it's dangers.

I’m an Ambassador at SafeTeensOnline (STO - https://www.safeteensonline.org a registered 501(c)(3) educating and empowering teens on all matters pertaining to online safety. Through this organization, I’ve had the pleasure of attending webinars and introducing speakers on the virtual stage. I’m writing today to request your support for our important work and for the Kids Online Safety Act. It’s vitally extremely important that we understand the teen perspective on the Kids Online Safety Act so it can protect them efficiently. Teen online safety requires teamwork among teens, parents, teachers, policymakers and law enforcement. Please sign this petition and indicate your support for our work in this area.

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter.

Sincerely,

Jaycen  Pace
