Safe on Dynon Road

We are calling all users of the shared user path along Dynon Road. As cyclists, scooter users and pedestrians, we are very familiar with the thrills and challenges of navigating our city streets while on our way to school or work. But recently with diversions from the Westgate Tunnel Project and local construction works, Dynon Road has become increasingly dangerous for users and it is time for immediate action.

Why Act Now?

• Safety First: The current conditions on Dynon Road are not just inconvenient - they’re dangerous. Particularly the City Link intersection, with many near-misses reported due to the non-protected right turn for motorists when cyclists and pedestrians have a green light to cross.

• Strength in Numbers: Together, we can make our voices heard. Our local representatives need to hear from the local pedestrians, cyclists and other active transport users. 

• Community Impact: A safer Dynon Road means a better, more accessible route for everyone who needs to travel between the West and the CBD.
