As of right now hundreds of thousands of currently legal Haitians are at risk of being deported into a WARZONE. Many of these people initially came after an earthquake that decimated the country. Since then many more have been granted temporary status due to the ongoing turmoil that plagues the country. These people aren’t illegal or criminals, these people pride themselves on working hard and providing for their families. These people are nurses, teachers, retail workers but most important they are HUMAN. This is bigger than us, this is bigger than the Haitians at risk. We cant continue to allow the exploitation of a country and its people to happen, turn our backs on them and victim blame when the civil unrest and violence happens.
