Rezone Woolwich to zone 3/4

Rezone Woolwich to zone 3/4
Why this petition matters

Woolwich is the only DLR station that finds itself in Zone 4, when most of the zone 3 stations north of the river are of equal distance from Central London.
If the government and London Mayor are serious about encouraging greener transport, they need to encourage residents in Woolwich/ Plumstead to leave their cars at home and use the DLR, overground, and upcoming Elizabeth line instead. An affordable transport network will do exactly that.
When Crossrail opens next year (fingers crossed) it will take equal time (of 14minutes) to travel from Woolwich or Manor Park to Liverpool Street. The only difference appears to be that Woolwich is south of the river.
Woolwich is going through an intense regeneration with the Woolwich Arsenal development and the upcoming Woolwich Exchange leading the way. Rezoning Woolwich will help to increase the speed of this regeneration by attracting new residents and tourists to the new amenities such as the Woolwich Works, and upcoming improved high street and the much-anticipated indoor market.
The increased number of travellers enticed to visit Woolwich will more than make up for any reduction in existing ticket revenues.
