We urge the gov to scrap the (TAED) project, keeping any development to the land side and sparing the foreshore reserve as a recreational area for both locals and tourists. The land behind Jalan Selangor can be developed into a city park or, if the government is short of funds, some shops can be built. Spare the rugby and football fields too - they are of heritage value to Sabahans. Bear in mind - This is the last piece of gov land and should be reserved for future goverment purposes. We're not against development, just against the destruction of the original beach. We're for sustainable development. If TAED continues with the current plan it would be considered a betrayal by the new government as promises were made while campaigning during GE14. *** 1.
