One of Bird Helpline Mumbai roadie dog was admitted in BSPCA hospital on 1st November 2015, for an ear injury.  Bird Helpline Mumbai volunteer regularly visited the place to keep a check on his health. According to our volunteer, he was healed completely during the last visit. But BSPCA management told us to hold back for few more days.  Later after two days when our volunteer again visited the dog, he found stitches on the dog's stomach. We were surprised and shocked. For further investigation we called in PAWA India.  With the combined efforts of Bird helpline Mumbai and PAWA India we came to know that the dog was operated for Bariatrics Gastric Surgery by Dr Tripathi with the permission of Dr Mayur, Dr Santosh and the entire management Which was totally unethical and done without our consent. We immediately reported the matter to the committee, trustees, Awbi, Veterinary council of india, veterinary council of maharashtra. But No Action has been taken till date.    A panchnama has been done by Kala chowky Police Station. And a written complaint has also been submitted for the same.  From our sources we came know following practises are taken place in BSPCA : 1.    Stray dogs are regularly put to sleep. 2.    Stray dogs are regularly experimented by veterinary students.  Stray dogs are often dislocated from their original dwelling.  Our Aim is to stop cruelty happening inside BSPCA. We do not intend BSPCA to shut down.
