We're pleased to see some of Folau's team mates supporting his cause with a "prayer huddle" on the pitch after their match.
Click here for the New Zealand Herald story with the headline: "Super Rugby players huddle for prayer on pitch to show solidarity with Israel Folau".
People need to be prepared to show their support. In unity there is strength. In silence, who will be next to be persecuted for expressing unpopular views?
We don't endorse, or oppose, Folau's views, but we will defend his right to have them. Shame on his other team mates who are not prepared to stand up for tolerance and acceptance.
Laying you body on the line in football is a hard thing to do, but it appears to be even harder to put your reputation there for a fellow players human rights.
Great that some players have that bravery and dedication.
