A  university professor has come out in favour of Israel Folau's right to free speech in this article, and the right of all of us to free speech. He points to some disturbing anti-free speech trends in universities.

This is a big issue, and doesn't just affect sport, but all of our society.

He quotes the famous 19th Century philosopher and economist John Stuart Mill:

“If all mankind minus one were of one opinion, and only one person were of the contrary opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing that person than he, if he had the power, would be in silencing mankind.”

Israel has his hearing this Saturday, May 4. Let's see how many signatures we can get before then.
