This Petition has been delivered to RTE . The contest is imminent. Thanks for all the support and for making the point that we do not support Israeli Genocide.

We are asking that RTE  boycott the Eurovision in 2024 as Israel is participating 

Israel despite calls from the UN and NGOs on the ground is carrying out  collective punishment on a civilian population . More than 21,000 civilians most of them women and children have been killed. Over one million children have been forcibly displaced . The population is without food ,water and medicine. Doctors and medical personnel have been killed , hospitals and school attacked . Thousands of children and adults have had amputations . There are 25000 orphans in a place without shelter, food and water. What if that was your child ? Add in the constant bombardment and the ensuing fear. 

Now they are at risk not just of bombs but of starvation and disease. It is forecast by aid agencies that as many again as those who have been killed will die of disease and starvation

The reaction to the conflict in Ukraine was united across the world in its response . However we now see double standards in the reaction to Gaza 

If RTE participates in Eurovision with Israel in the competition they make licence payers of Ireland complicit in  condoning the killing  of more than 18 thousand men , women children of Gaza.   
It has been described by NGOs as a war on children. It is being described as the worst humanitarian disaster of recent times.

This humanitarian disaster is man made by Israel they could stop this today but refuse and pledge to continue for months to come .

One way in which licence holders can influence RTE decision is to consider withholding the purchase of  TV licences in 2024
