Today's telephonic conversation with the South African High Commissioner was as expected, just to confirm our mother is in fact a South African citizen and that they have been advised to prepare travel documents, as she no longer has a valid South African travel document.
The person we spoke to was very polite and helpful, as well as very compassionate in our struggle to keep our mother with her children who can care and love her while in the UK
He informed us his only takes was to confirm our mother is in fact a citizen of South Africa and if she had a valid passport, which we confirmed she had not, due to the Home Office having it, as part of our visa application and that it had now expired.
He confirmed he was not in any position to intervene in our plea for compassion with the U.K. Home Office and asked if our mother had any private pensions or property in South Africa, which we clearly stated she has nothing in South Africa in regards to pension or property. She would be entitled to a state pension of R1,200, which is about £70 per month.
He asked when she arrived in the UK and if she is following the UK immigration laws by visiting the police station each month in lines with the visa application, which we confirmed was the current status and our next visit to the police station was in May of 2017, which is due to our mother being frail, they have confirmed there is no reason for them to see her each month.
This telephonic conversation was simply to confirm travel documents would need to be issued, as our mother is a South African citizen living in the UK with no valid passport, preventing her from leaving through customs, so please continue to support us by sending a direct plea to your local MP and then to Secretary of State "Amber Rudd" @

Our fight, despite the next visit in May 2017 is not finished and this is the steps we were dreading, final travel documents being issued, giving the Home Office access to give us 72 hours notice to remove our mother back to South Africa.
We still wait confirmation from the Home Office and 10 Downing Street on our petition and yesterday we received documents from the Home Office to give them permission to ask for our mothers medical information, as well as who our legal team is in representing us, which clearly we need to respond to, as we don't want to leave our mother vulnerable due to not giving them information, so please continue to support us and get your local MP's on board, as the petition is now sat with the government and a decision must be made and I do beleive the people have spoken and this will go a long way in allowing the government to show our family compassion and allow us to take care of mum until she passes on.

We as a family appreciate ALL your continued support, which keeps us fighting and moving forward in doing what is right for our mother.
The stress is getting to us, as my wife is now on high blood pressure tablets, which is caused due to this ongoing saga to love and care for her dying mother in her time of need but the government will not grant us this opportunity and would rather continue to put the family under more stress each day. It is not nice to see a wife go through this sort of ordeal and some people can handle stress where others can't and my wife is finding it hard, after all it is her mother dying, while we fight for peace in her last stage of life, where the government just wants to get ride of her back to South Africa where she will die.
The family are faced daily with this ongoing saga and our mother on Sunday was battling to breath, due to water on her lungs and we wanted to take her to hospital but my mum said no, she can't pay for the treatment and refused to go. It was only on Monday when we took her to dialysis they said she could have died and it is important that she seeks help when difficulty to breath but this is all over letters we have received confiming she cannot be treated at any NHS hospital.
We need a break through so please continue to send letters to people who can make a change in our families situation.
Regards
Derek, Desree, Irene and family
