NO MORE DROWNINGS. We the undersigned demand, after the terrible tragedy of more than 80 Syrian and Palestinian refugees, many of them young children, drowning in the Mediterranean that the government gives immediate sanctuary to refugees fleeing from war and violence. We are not asking that they be given permanent residence but that as a humanitarian act they are given a place of sanctury while their futures are decided.
