We are petitioning the British Government to bar United States Presidential candidate Donald Trump from entering the United Kingdom, in-line with existing race laws and similar precedent in the recent past.

Donald Trump's anti-Islamic rhetoric, including a register for adherents to the faith and a ban on all Muslims entering the United States, is not only dangerous incitement, but frighteningly similar to the views of facist movements of the past throughout the world.

We seek for the government to make a clear statement that these divisive and bigoted views will not be tolerated on our shores by barring Trump from entering the country at any time in future.

Other people banned from entering the UK for similar views include Pamela Geller, Terry Jones and Shirley Phelps-Roper of the Westboro Baptist Church for "engaging in unacceptable behaviour by fostering hatred which might lead to inter-community violence in the United Kingdom".

This reasoning also applies to Donald Trump.
