The Issue

A shocking surge in fly-tipping has turned large parts of the country into an eyesore and is costing us millions of pounds a year.

In some areas of the country lines of dumped rubbish stretch for more than a mile.

Councils are now spending £45.2million on the problem every year - enough to pay 2,000 extra nurses.

Today the Sunday Mirror launches Keep It Clean - a campaign against the trashing of our country.

We are calling for:

1. £1,000 fixed penalty notices for fly-tipping

2. Tougher laws on dropping litter

3. A dedicated Minister for Litter

Join our campaign to stop the British landscape from turning into a rubbish tip.
