Dear Readers
Thank you so much for your comments in my last update and your concern and sadness regarding the passing of Spotty. Like you all, I was both sad and angry, but have allowed that anger to subside so that I can continue to fight for justice for the cruelty that has been inflicted on those poor creatures held captive at Camp Kitty. Spotty I am sure would have been thrilled to have know that so many cared for her. It was the sight of that poor cat in the photo above that has made me seek some sort of justice for all those that have perished and suffered over so many years, and now Spotty is added to that list of animals that have suffered greatly.
To date I have not succeeded in getting that justice!
Please read carefully the last correspondence I received from the Hon Adam Marshall, Minister for Agriculture and the NSW Government Minister responsible for administering those bodies that are paid by the taxpayer to enforce POCTA. The RSPCA NSW is one of them. This is what was in the email from said Hon Minister -

Dear Mr Climpson
Thank you for your correspondence of 25 May 2021 regarding the welfare of a cat at Camp Kitty
and the role of RSPCA NSW in this investigation. I appreciate the reasons that have prompted
you to write and apologise for the delay in responding to your previous correspondence.
As you are aware, RSPCA NSW commenced legal proceedings in relation to a large number of
cats that were seized from ‘Camp Kitty’, and these matters have now been finalised. In relation
to the single cat that remains at the property, RSPCA NSW has advised that the cat is being
appropriately cared for.
As indicated previously, RSPCA NSW is a charitable organisation operating under its own
constitution and governance structure and is independent of government. Its enforcement
activities are carried out in accordance with a Memorandum of Understanding with the NSW
Department of Primary Industries (DPI) and it is required to report to the Minister annually on its
enforcement activities.
These enforcement reports are not publicly available, however as a registered charity and public
company limited by guarantee, RSPCA NSW is accountable for its funds through annual
reporting requirements, and these reports are published on their website.
Complaints about the RSPCA or its investigations should be directed to the RSPCA Chief
Inspector, 201 Rookwood Road, Yagoona NSW 2199.
The NSW Government is committed to reforming animal welfare laws in NSW to ensure that the
legislation keeps pace with the latest animal welfare science, community expectations, industry
practises and technology. In February 2020 the NSW Government published the NSW Animal
Welfare Reform - Issues Paper. NSW Department of Primary Industries is now developing policy
proposals in response to the issues raised. There will be further opportunities for stakeholders
to have their say on the new legislative framework.
To stay up to date with our Animal Welfare program you can register to receive updates at
updates at https://www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/animals-and-livestock/animal-welfare/news-and
community.
I trust this is of assistance, however, if you have any further enquiries, I have asked Dr Kim
Filmer, Chief Animal Welfare Officer at DPI, to be available to answer any questions you may
have. Dr Filmer can be contacted on 0418 417 048.
Yours sincerely
Adam Marshall

My comments/questions are -
1. I received this email on 10 Aug 2021. I ask,why did the RSPCA NSW state that `the cat is being appropriately cared for’ when it was euthanized in Feb 2021?
2. The new owners of the property (formally Camp Kitty) have stated that the cat was fed every 2nd day. That is in breach of POCTA. So again why did they (RSPCA NSW) say it was being appropriately cared for?
I now ask all readers to please write to the Hon Minister and demand answers. Said Hon. Minister is the man paid by the taxpayer to deal with these issues, so do not get diverted and write to others. You will have to access his contact details online and fill in the boxes. Please cut and paste, as you may find he is reluctant to respond and after the required 20 days of waiting for a reply and nothing comes then you may then have to repeat the process to the Premiers Office to force a response. You will probably then receive a reply that does not address the questions you have asked! This has happened to me on numerous occasions.
Regards, Keith
