I am so fortunate to have dedicated and hard working petition supporters, and below are two messages from those readers.

Carmen has stated - `Just to give you a final update on Spotty (solitary cat). I spoke to Aaron today, who is the Deputy Chief Inspector from the RSPCA in NSW and he told me inspectors in the last 3 months have been to Camp Kitty. He told me the cat is being looked after and someone is going there to feed and give him water. He said something along the line there is room for the owner to do better, as you and I would, but RSPCA cannot control that and have no legal right to do so. He also said other people have rang about the cat. Main thing is that the cat is OK, and some what taken care off. (My comment - I will say more about this response from the RSPCA in another update)
Now the message from Edith - `Dear Keith, may I suggest an action plan we all could help to rescue the poor cat? If you could tell us where we could send a text message every day, and/or an email every day and month after month to the authorities which you have identified to be in charge of this matter, we could send our concern not just "day after day", but also "month after month" by just a click of the mouse every morning and/or every time when first opening our computers. Some of us can even pre-set our computers to send a message automatically again and again every day. The more people do that the better, and one does not have to live in Australia. A flood of emails by hundreds of people on a daily base for months on end might just lead to a successful rescue of the poor cat. Please let us know how we can help’.

This is my response to Edith -

Hi Edith I think that is an excellent idea. The bodies that need contacting would be Cowra Council RSPCA NSW , Animal Welfare League, Dept of Primary Industries, RSPCA Federation, just initailly to think of a few bodies. Also maybe the organisations that sponsor the RSPCA such as Quantas, Hills Pet Foods to ask if they think they could not find better animal welfare organisations to support.
Primarily to ask of the RSPCA NSW - 1. Why did they say there were no welfare issues when there obviously were? 2. Did they base that judgement on the report of the 2 inspectors that attended Camp Kitty? 3. Why will they not agree to the offer made to find a loving home for the solitary cat? 4. Why were no other bodies asked to appear in Court when R McCudden was charged with animal cruelty offences? The local residents would have all been willing to attend but none were asked. 5. Why was McCudden allowed to keep 33 cats after he had been found guilty of so many animal cruelty offences? What evidence was presented to the Court so that decision was made? 6.Why will the RSPCA NSW not say what happened to the cats when all those RSPCA vans were on the Camp Kitty site? Were all those cats destroyed , were some or any re-homed? 7. Why has the RSPCA NSW got such a high rate of cat euthanasia? 7. Why is the RSPCA NSW a public company and not solely a charity? 8. Why were letters addressed in the past to the RSPCA Directors not initially passed on to the Directors? Were the Directors ever informed of what had been addressed to them? Do the Directors know of what has transpired with all the occurrences at Camp Kitty? Do the Directors know that there is still a cat at CK and it has been denied its rights under POCTA for 6 years?

It seems to be getting more difficult to contact the RSPCA NSW by email. However please try the following - mail@rspcansw.org.au inspectors@rspcansw.org.au

Their tel no is 02 9770 7555

Thanks so much, Keith
