Educational ad campaign to prevent heatstroke in dogs.

Educational ad campaign to prevent heatstroke in dogs.
The Issue
The U. K. continues to have hotter and hotter summers, our dogs systems are not equipped to deal with the heat and loose the ability to regulate their own temperature when not at a healthy temperature . It seems there is a real lack of education among dog owners who do not understand why or the consequences of not keeping our dogs at a healthy temperature. Too many times dogs have died the most painful and horrible deaths and the owners simply say they didn't realise.
I want to see a government backed TV advertising campaign covering the prevention methods and possibly a calculator to aid owners to know when it is too hot (temperature x humidity = over 1000 - do not run with your dog and consider vigorous exercise. Over 1500 check pavements to see how hot they are, carry alot of water and monitoring your dog closely. Over 2000 do not walk you dog.)
Prevention:-
Avoid afternoon walks, stick to early am or late pm and avoid hot pavements.
Do not leave dogs in cars, not even with the window cracked, temperatures can rise very quickly to dangerous levels.
Have water constantly available.
Be aware of the signs like excessive panting, loss of energy, bright red or purple/blue gums and ultimately collapse.
Please sign this to get this discussed at government level, it is so important and vital to protect all dogs.
