I do not know her name but I do know there was another woman.
The 23-year-old as-yet unnamed woman was stabbed to death at her home in Kooringal, NSW, on September 19, 2026.
Her 31-year-old partner Adam Mark Perrim fled the scene but was later arrested. He is now charged with her murder.
She is the 50th of 52 Australian women killed this year. Last year we lost 79 women to violence - the year before 106 women were killed.
Perrim was previously convicted over the death of a woman. He was driving a vehicle when police tried to stop him. He did not pull over and ultimately drove the car into a culvert killing one passenger and injuring another.
Perrim pleaded guilty to aggravated dangerous driving causing death, furious driving causing grievous bodily harm, unlicensed driving and driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle. He was sentenced to seven years with parole after 4.5 years.
